With the responsibility of providing a centralised IT service to the National Health Service, the NHS Information Authority managed many hundreds of programmes and services at any one time.
Working closely with the risk management team, and with the sponsorship of the head of risk management, Itrium developed a remote auditing and compliance tool that gave the ability to report at any level of detail across the organisation at the touch of a button.
Without moving from their Birmingham home, the risk management team were able to obtain timely information from any stakeholder within the Information Authority, enabling them to provide up to date reports without having to visit remote locations.
They were able to identify areas of concern quickly and devote resources to them, resulting in higher value work being performed by the risk team.
